Tom's hospital stay

Not planned but Tom spent (5) days

in the hospital in Port Townsend

We were very pleased with the care that he received

And he had an amazing view from his room!

Day 4 - Arriving at Evergreen Co/Ho

The last leg of our journey - crossing the Hood Canal
When a large boat or sailboat wants to cross
they stop traffic up to 45 minutes to retract the bridge!

Our view from our new home

Day 3 - traveling through Oregon and into Washington

We had paid for an RV spot in Salem, Oregon so that I could visit with my sister

but it was just too smokey!

We kept traveling to about 50 miles north of Vancouver, WA.

This was Shasta Lake

The only clear sky we traveled through was near Mt. Shasta

I love this place that has colorful water trucks!

Very sad going through Ashland, Oregon

The fire that went through the day before brought much destruction!

Tacoma-Narrows bridge.

The first one built went down in the 40's - Galloping Gertie!

Almost to our new home

Hood Canal Bridge

The bridge was closed for about 30 minutes to let a sailboat through

Day 2 - Traveling to Redding

The smoke is bad in Northern CA also

but we are so happy to see green everywhere!

Our RV resort in Redding

was right on the Sacramento River.

Day 1 - On the road again - headed to Washington state. First stop Chowchilla, CA

Because of the fires in Southern CA - this is the

view from our back yard this morning

Our home away from home

This was our neighbor at our first stop in Chowchilla

We thought we were leaving the smoke but it followed us!

 Here we go again!

This year has been more than crazy!  About February and March we started hearing serious reports about the Corona Virus or COVID 19.  And by the end of March the entire country shut down including our company!

When we opened back up...restaurants to limited capacity; beauty salons maintaining new regulations to maintain social distancing, etc.; and then mandatory masks for entry into any public place!  No one could have written a book as scary as this year!!

And us personally - when we finally got the okay to travel our motorhome was in the shop for (7) weeks getting one of the slides repaired.

And to top it all off - Tom has had health problems that will require surgery in mid October.

So finally we are packing up to go and should be on the road early this week.

We are anxious to get up to Evergreen COHO in Chimacum to visit our RV spot that finally (after three years of waiting) is ours!

And I will be very happy to see my kiddos - Marc and Danielle.

On the way home - Day 3
